An actor is the one who brings emotions bound in a script onto the screen. However, ability to express and emote is not sufficient to play a particular character. It is important to be prepared to pack a punch, to have an impact on the viewer. At RAFT, we teach you how to hone your craft, make a character believable and strike the right chord with the audience.

Course Overview

The course emphasizes building a foundation in the craft of acting, where students not only explore and learn the principles of acting but understand how to breakdown a scene and analyze a character.

Students participate in a broad array of core classes that introduce them to finding the actor within, and simultaneously their talent is channeled towards doing the kind of technical, emotional, and physical work necessary for film acting.
